Our 11+ Skills Growth course will build on your child’s core Maths and English skills, tailoring them specifically for the Gloucestershire 11+ test. It will also cover Verbal and non-Verbal Reasoning topics. This course can be taken without attending our other group tuition courses, however we will assume your child has a grasp of basic Maths and English concepts that we would have covered in our 11+ Foundations Course. There is no need to have experience of the Reasoning questions before this course, as we will introduce these over the 10 weeks.

The course runs on Tuesdays 6:15 – 7:15 pm starting on Tuesday 13th January. We will take a break in the February half term and then restart sessions on Tuesday 24th February until Tuesday 24th March. Each session will be online and will focus on the material for that week. Teaching is delivered by two of our highly experienced tutors and sessions will use a combination of our own materials (written specifically for the Gloucestershire 11+ test) and resources from CGP to use at home. CGP is a highly respected 11+ publisher. We currently use Zoom and you will be sent link to the classroom and joining instructions 24 hours before the first session. The link will usually be the same each week, but we will email you if this needs to change.

There will be extension work set each week for your child to complete at home, which should take your child no more than an hour to complete.

We will encourage all children to participate in the session but we understand that some children feel more confident than others. We use features built within Zoom such as the chat and poll function to allow all children to participate whether or not they feel comfortable having their microphones on! Our tutors will keep their cameras on but there is no requirement for your child to do the same.

The price for the course is £200, which covers all 10 sessions working out to only £20 per session! Tickets are limited to ensure we are able to keep a low staff:student ratio.
