Mastering the 11+ (Year 5)

Our Mastering the 11+ online group tuition course will build on your child’s 11+ skills, recapping some of the key areas for the test whilst diving into deeper understanding and building problem-solving skills. It will also cover exam technique. There is no requirement to have taken any of our previous group tuition courses, however we assume your child has seen some of the Reasoning questions before we start. We can provide some suggested materials to look at before the start of the course.

The course runs on Tuesdays, 6:15 – 7:15 pm starting on Tuesday 14th April. We will take a break in the Easter Holidays and start again on Tuesday 2nd June. The course ends on Tuesday 23rd June. Each session will be online and will focus on the material for that week. Teaching is delivered by two of our highly experienced tutors and sessions will use a combination of our own materials (written specifically for the Gloucestershire 11+ test) and resources from CGP to use at home. CGP is a highly respected 11+ publisher. We currently use Zoom and you will be sent link to the classroom and joining instructions 24 hours before the first session. The link will usually be the same each week, but we will email you if this needs to change.

There will be extension work set each week for your child to complete at home, which should take your child no more than an hour to complete.

We will encourage all children to participate in the session but we understand that some children feel more confident than others. We use features built within Zoom such as the chat and poll function to allow all children to participate whether or not they feel comfortable having their microphones on! Our tutors will keep their cameras on but there is no requirement for your child to do the same.

The price for the course is £200, which covers all 10 sessions working out to only £20 per session! Tickets are limited to ensure we are able to keep a low staff:student ratio.
