About

You may have heard that the seven Gloucestershire grammar school are changing the 11+ test from next year. That means that your Year 4 child will be doing a test set by FSCE rather than GL which is the current 11+ test provider.

This meeting outlines the things we do and don't yet know about this test, in a simple straightforward way. We will outlining the topics and skills we expect to be in the test, those that will not be included and those that we're not quite sure about yet.

Run by lead educators Ian and Becky, the evening starts with a presentation about grammar schools, focusing on ways to help you and your child prepare for the new test in Year 4 without the need for lots of 11+ question practice. We'll provide hints and tips on what games, books and other fun activities will help develop skills that are both generally useful for their current education as well as building confidence for grammar school application.

Please bring any questions with you as we've got lots of experience to help you through the whole grammar school process!

In order to estimate demand we ask that you register for a free ticket which will give you the link to our Zoom meeting room.  There is no requirement to register for a Zoom account to take part. You do not have to say anything if you want to watch, but there are plenty of opportunities to ask questions.

There is no obligation to book any of our other events. We are doing this to try and help Year 4 parents navigate through the worries of how to best prepare your child. We hope to see you there!
